Message from the CEO
The traditional economic growth model changed drastically as BRICs and other emerging markets came to the forefront while the economies of many developed countries remained sluggish. Last year, many Japanese companies adapted to this changing environment through various measures, including seeking out new horizons in overseas business.
During this period of economic transformation, we at Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC have maintained a pervasive management philosophy of being "an audit firm which can contribute to the public and is trusted by the people and its stakeholders" - a philosophy which is based on our aspiration to contribute to the growth and development of the Japanese economy through providing services with value beyond the expectations of clients. This is by utilizing diverse knowledge and experiences in the professional fields of accounting and auditing.
This year we have also elevated the theme "our embodiment of trust", with all of us at Ernst & Young ShinNihon reflecting on "trust", which is fundamental to our profession and organization. Our engagements are performed so as to build trust. Trust is not visible and yet can be built through providing services with value beyond expectations. We believe that this trust we develop will continue to bring our clients to say Ernst & Young ShinNihon is "needed", "selected" and "acknowledged for its achievements".
We will continue to operate in a way which embodies trust by keeping close to heart our management philosophy of being "an audit firm which can contribute to the public and is trusted by the people and its stakeholders."
